Do I retain the rights to my book?
Yes — Salt Press operates on a hybrid publishing model. You own your book, your rights, and the majority of your royalties. We provide the professional infrastructure and expertise. You retain full ownership throughout.
Do you accept first drafts?
Yes. You do not need a finished manuscript to start the conversation. Many of our authors come to us with an idea, an outline, or a rough first draft. We will assess where you are and recommend the right starting point.
How long does the publishing process take?
Timelines vary depending on the services required and the state of the manuscript at intake. Most Salt Press projects move from manuscript to published book within three to nine months. We will give you a realistic timeline at the proposal stage.
What genres does Salt Press publish?
We specialise in non-fiction — business books, memoir, self-help, faith-based titles, and thought leadership. We do not currently publish fiction. If you are unsure whether your project is a fit, submit anyway and we will let you know.
What does it cost to publish with Salt Press?
Pricing is determined by the scope of services your manuscript requires. We discuss this fully on the discovery call and provide a detailed proposal before you commit to anything. There is no cost to submit or to have the initial conversation.
